Caerulea

Caerulea is a very unique and glamorous wildflower. A flower that stands out with its beautiful colour combination. This wild flower turns into a bright orange fruit from late summer until winter. For Arne Quinze, the wildflowers in his garden are an example of a diverse world. With his Wild Flower field series, the artist wants to show that we should embrace diversity and nature in our lives.

The Caerulea flower is also very unique because it continues to grow and bloom even at temperatures as low as -15C°. After several freezing points, it dies and then re-grows after a short period of time. For the artist, this duality of nature is a true source of inspiration. For him, the duality of nature lies in its fragility but also in its force. Something that Caerulea fully represents.
