Floral colour change occurs in Hibiscus (mutabilis) when flowers are white in the morning, turning pink during noon and red in the evening of the same day. It was during his research to Mono No Aware, 'the ephemeral nature of beauty' that Arne Quinze decided to create a work that shows his admiration for the transition from morning to evening, from summer to autumn, for brown and red leaves, for nature with a spark of decay. Now, this sculpture is dominating the entrance to his home and studio, welcoming guests to the splendour of nature. "Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower" - Albert Camus
