The Chroma sculptures have been inspired by a certain species of Lupine flowers. The so called 'Lupinus Sparsiflorus' is a truly magical flower with petals which can change colour after pollination. Nature exhibits these surprisingly magical skills on a regular basis, and this is what Arne Quinze wants to integrate in our own neighbourhoods, not only with large scale public art, but also with medium sized-sculptures and paintings. His aim is to transfer the same feeling of wonder from the most beautiful forest trail to our living room.
These wall sculptures are perfect examples. Our living rooms should become as diverse as nature's creations. Even one single Chroma Lupine cone already transforms a rectangular plain white wall into a stretch of surface reclaimed by nature.
